GAITHERSBURG, Md., March 29, 2018 — Childhood hunger in the United States has decreased by 30% since 2010. However, with 13 million children still at-risk of hunger, Sodexo Stop Hunger Foundation continues to build on lessons learned over the past 20 years to work smarter – and harder— to not only feed children today, but also ensure that no child will be hungry again tomorrow.

Childhood hunger is a problem too big for one organization to solve alone. Thanks to the support of Sodexo’s hunger-fighting team – the employees, clients, customers, vendors, youth leaders and carefully selected non-profits who work tirelessly to help us Stop Hunger – 2017 was a transformational year for Sodexo Stop Hunger Foundation.

In 2017, through our Stop Hunger efforts, we distributed 4.1 million meals, engaged 40,644 volunteers and helped 2.3 million children and adults meet their immediate food needs or chronic hunger challenges. Together, we are powering toward a tomorrow that’s free from childhood hunger. For good.
