In collaboration with Nestlé Professional 4,500 bowls of soup were prepared and served from the Baltimore Convention Center, Music City Center, and Chase Center on the Riverfront to combat local food insecurity

BALTIMORE, Md. and NASHVILLE, Tenn. and WILMINGTON, Del., – The Sodexo Stop Hunger Foundation has just hosted three community Servathon events with its Sodexo Live! Teams and venue partners at the Baltimore Convention Center, Music City Center, and Chase Center on the Riverfront to address food insecurity.   

• The initiative in Baltimore, led by Executive Chef Gregory Pittman, and Nestlé Professional Chefs Chris Britton donated 140 gallons of chicken noodle soup to the Maryland Food Bank and the Helping Up Mission.
• In Nashville, the efforts, led by Executive Chef Max Knoepfel and Nestlé Professional Chef Allan Gazaway, garnered 150 gallons of chicken noodle soup that were donated to The Nashville Food Project. Both were in close partnership with Nestlé Professional.
• In Wilmington, the efforts, led by Execute Chef Michael Doyle and Nestlé Professional Chef Felix Maietta prepared and donated 150 gallons of chicken noodle soup to the Sunday Breakfast Mission of Wilmington.

“The Baltimore Convention Center has an active Corporate Social Responsibility program that is predicated on our partnership and support of community-based organizations. In addition to diverting building supplies, furniture, school supplies and other hardscape items, the program also diverts edible food product. The ‘Stop Hunger Event’ aligns with the goals of our Food Waste Reduction initiative that works with several organizations to feed people first. This year already, the Baltimore Convention Center’s Food Waste Reduction initiative, through close collaboration with Sodexo Live!, has donated over 4,100 pounds of food to local organizations.”
